Accessibility

This site aims for level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, in both languages, on desktop and on mobile.

No audit by an independent third party has been carried out yet: this statement relies on automated checks (axe-core, W3C HTML validation, contrast checks) and on a manual keyboard walkthrough performed by the development team.

  • Full keyboard navigation, a skip link to the content and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Contrast checked automatically on every colour pair of the brand palette: 4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for non-text elements.
  • Mandatory alternative text for every image added from the admin panel; decorative images are ignored by screen readers.
  • Native modal dialogs (mobile menu, gallery viewer, assistant): closed with the Escape key, focus returned to the originating element, inert background.
  • Silent background video, hidden from screen readers, with a pause button; no animation is forced when the system asks for reduced motion.
  • Forms with visible labels, error messages linked to their field and full operation without JavaScript.
  • Touch targets of at least 44 pixels on buttons and action links; text sizes in relative units, never below 14 pixels.
  • A single language per page, French or English, declared to the browser.
  • Videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo play in the platform's own player, whose accessibility is outside our control; their captions depend on the files provided.
  • The showreel on the home page has no captions: it is decorative and carries no information that is not available elsewhere on the page.
  • The rippling water effect on the Story page is decorative, drawn in an element ignored by screen readers, and replaced by a still image when the system asks for reduced motion.
  • In content written from the admin panel (articles, project pages), alternative text for images is mandatory, but the heading hierarchy relies on editorial review.
